Listings: Connect the Same Item from Different Platforms

Overview Multiple stores can be added as connections to the same Inventory Planner account. When doing so, users can also benefit from the ability to setup Combined Warehouses in order to aggregate the sales and stock information from multiple locations into one view for forecasting purposes. When doing so, it is important for Inventory Planner to properly connect listings across different platforms. Inventory Planner attempts to match listings in a combined warehouse automatically based on matching product information (eg. matching by barcode, ASIN, or SKU). If properties don't match, users can enable manual linking to add additional listings. Manual linking also allows users to assign a Master SKU. The 'Master SKU' can be added as a column or filter in the Replenishment and Reporting tabs. When to use this feature If the same variant on different platforms uses different SKUs, then use the 'manual linking' feature to combine information for 'all warehouse' or 'combined warehouse' use. For example, 'SKU-amazon' and 'SKU-shopify' can be linked so that all information shows together for reporting and ordering. When not to use this feature If you use the same SKU, barcode, title or ASIN across platforms, Inventory Planner can automatically match up this information. 'Manual linking' would only need to be used if this information does not match across platforms. If you are looking to apply the sales history of an old or existing variant to a new variant that will replace it, use the 'Combine Sales/Stock' functionality. Setting Up Listings To setup listing across connections, it is necessary to assign a unique 'master SKU' for variants in each connection. This can be done in two ways: Manually from the Replenishment screen by clicking Details (the "i" icon) for the item, then select the Listings tab; >Switch on the button 'Manual Link using Master SKU', and enter a Master SKU in the top right field that appears. Select Save; >Use the + Listing button to add listings to the Master SKU, or use the trash icon next to any listing to remove it. 2. Or you can import the master SKUs from a CSV. To do this from Replenishment, click on Import at the bottom of the screen then Master SKUs. You will need to import a CSV for each platform (ie, one import for Amazon, one import for Shopify). The import will need two columns with column titles: The master SKU you are assigning, and the SKU from your connected platform. As an alternative to your platform's SKU, you can use the product title, barcode, or ASIN. Connect your first CSV by clicking on 'select file'. Use the dropdown options for each field to make sure the correct information is matched. Use the field 'Select variants source connection' to indicate which platform uses the SKUs in your spreadsheet. If you are importing SKU information that corresponds to Shopify, select Shopify in this dropdown. Finally, click Upload. You will then see the results of your import including information successfully imported and any errors with details. Click on 'Download all errors as CSV' to see issues that need to be corrected. The number in the 'Line' column indicates the row in your spreadsheet where the error occurred. Repeat the process with additional platforms using SKUs that you need to match. After the second import, the two platform SKUs will be matched using the master SKU you have assigned.
